SURFACE PREPARATION

Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, wax, etc.

Previously painted surfaces:

Rub down thoroughly using suitable abrasive paper

Remove all dust

Steel surfaces:

Prepare manually using power or hand tools to BS7079 Part A1:1989 (St3)

New galvanized and aluminium surfaces:

Clean and degrease thoroughly
-
Pre-treat with a suitable primer for good adhesion
